Boy, today was a long day! We left our campground around 10am. Kevin had taken the screen door off of the RV because it squeaks terrible when we are driving. Well, the squeaking magically disappeared but Kevin did not realize that something in the screen door triggers the automatic stairs to come in...until we were driving down the road and hit something with the steps! That involved a pit stop to fix the bent steps...and put the screen door back on! It was an interesting morning.
We had hoped to make it all the way to Niagara Falls today but because of our couple setbacks, we have camped just about 15 minutes before the PA/NY border. Tomorrow the kids will get to use their passports...and Lulu gets to show off her rabies vaccination paperwork.
The clerk at the front desk here told us that they do have bears around here that get into the dumpsters so of course Lily immediately wanted to take a walk--where, you ask?--by the dumpsters of course. Alas, no bears, just a dried up, flat, black frog. She wanted to leave a hot dog out tonight in case the bears got hungry but I kindly suggested against it. :)
Looking forward to a shorter drive tomorrow and finally some sightseeing. Thanks for tagging along!
