Day 13: Anaheim, CA

Well, we made it!  Traveled from NC to CA and on day 13, we're here!  Yesterday was my birthday and we had a fun-filled day in Las Vegas!  We went to see "The Price is Right, Live" at Bally's Jubilee Theater.  It's just like the televised version--they give away prizes and close to 50 people get to try their luck.  Alas, there was no "Ivey Sikorski, Come on down!" or Kevin either for that matter.  It was still fun to watch, with an actual set from "The Price is Right" and Bob Goen, formerly of Entertainment Tonight, as the host.  Lily and I went up on stage afterwards to meet him and the beauties and get our picture taken with the big wheel!  It was a lot of fun.
That afternoon we went back to Circus Circus to the Adventuredome, their indoor theme park.  They had a coaster with 4 loops, a log flume that soaked you and some 4-D adventure films as well as other rides.  The kids enjoyed that.  Then we went upstairs to the Midway where they have tons of carnival games for a buck and I must say that I am a champ at the game where you roll the balls into colored holes and race with other people.  I won twice in a row and won 2 pillow pets! :)
Today we drove to Anaheim, CA and this time difference thing is taking it's toll.  The kids all took about a 2 hour nap on the RV!  That's unheard of!  But I was glad they got some rest so they weren't running on fumes.  It's hard because we end up staying up "their time" but keep waking up "our time", so we've been going to bed around 1:00am which is only 10:00pm here but then waking up around 8:30 which is 5:30 here.  It's weird but we can't seem to sleep in even when we stay up late and trust me, there's nothing fun to do at 5:30 am. :)
Tomorrow we are planning to drive in to LA/Hollywood so I can see all the "touristy" things like the Walk of Fame, the Kodak Theater, and drive down some of those famous streets like Sunset Blvd, and Ventura Blvd.
I hope you're enjoying reading the blog because I have really enjoyed writing about our adventures.  It almost feels like you're taking the trip with us!  I'd love to hear from you if you're reading along.  We miss everyone!
